  • Transfers data at 20Gbps with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2
  • Outputs 4K 60Hz HDR video to compatible displays
  • Includes two 3.3ft cables for flexible device connections

20Gbps USB-C Cable Two-Pack

This two-pack supplies two 3.3ft USB-C to USB-C cables rated for USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 operation. They serve laptop owners, tablet users and external-drive operators who need simultaneous charging, data and video from a single cord. Each cable carries a 100W power rating and 4K 60Hz HDR video support.

20Gbps Data Throughput Requires Compatible Ports

The 20Gbps ceiling is only reached when both host and peripheral implement USB 3.2 Gen 2x2; older USB 3.2 Gen 2 or USB 2.0 ports will fall back to 10Gbps or 480Mbps respectively. Video output likewise demands a DP Alt Mode capable USB-C port, so devices without that feature cannot drive a monitor through these cables.

Plug-and-Play With One Common Pitfall

Installation is a simple matter of connecting each end to a USB-C socket — no drivers or configuration are required. The frequent issue is expecting full 20Gbps speed or 4K video from a port that only supports USB 2.0 or lacks DP Alt Mode, which leaves the cable functioning at the lower specification.

Questions about this item

What does 20 Gbps mean when I plug this cable into my computer?

The cable supports up to 20 Gbps data transfer, which is 40 times faster than USB 2.0, but the connected device must also support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 speeds to reach that rate.

Which USB standard limits the cable's performance and what does it cap in practice?

The cable uses USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, capping data at 20 Gbps, charging at 100 W (5 A), and video at 4K 60 Hz, provided the host and device support those features.

What do I need to check so the 3.3 ft cable fits my setup?

Both ends are USB-C connectors; ensure your devices have USB-C ports and allow enough slack for the 3.3 ft length.
