Efficient 40 Gbps USB4 Cable

This USB4 Gen 3x2 cable connects USB-C devices with up to 40 Gbps bi-directional data transfer. It carries PD 3.1 Extended Power Range up to 240 W at 48 V and supports single 8K@60 Hz or dual 4K@60 Hz video output. The 1.6 ft braided cable suits laptops, docks, eGPU enclosures and high-speed SSDs.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Professionals moving large datasets between NVMe enclosures, docking stations or eGPU units gain full USB4 bandwidth and 240 W charging. Users needing longer reach for desk routing or permanent in-wall installs should choose a longer cable, as this model is fixed at 1.6 ft.

Deciding specification: USB4 Gen 3x2 at 40 Gbps

The single figure that decides fit is the 40 Gbps USB4 Gen 3x2 data rate. If your host, dock or storage device operates at USB 3.2 20 Gbps or Thunderbolt 3 speeds, this cable still works but will not increase throughput beyond the device limit.

What does the 40Gbps headline figure deliver when I plug this into an NVMe enclosure?

With a USB4 Gen 3x2 host and device the cable enables bi-directional transfers up to 40Gbps, letting an NVMe enclosure run at its rated throughput.
