USB 3.0 A Male to A Male cable 3-pack

This three-pack of USB 3.0 Type A male-to-male cables each measures 6.6 feet and supports SuperSpeed data transfer up to 5 Gbps. The connectors are nickel-plated and the conductors are bare copper with foil and braid shielding for reliable signal integrity. They are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports. Plug-and-play installation requires no drivers.

Suits users linking Type A peripherals to a host

Ideal for connecting external hard-drive enclosures, printers, cameras, hubs, monitors, Blu-ray drives, set-top boxes, Wacom tablets, laptop cooling pads and similar USB 3.0 Type A devices to a computer or smart TV. Not suited for buyers who need a Type A to Type B, Type A to Micro-B or Type A to Type C cable, nor for anyone requiring an active extension beyond the supplied length.

Fits standard USB 3.0 Type A ports on both ends

Each cable plugs directly into a host Type A port and a peripheral Type A port, freeing the user from short factory leads on drives or hubs. The 6.6-foot reach allows flexible placement of devices on a desk or in a media centre without daisy-chaining. No external power or software is needed; the copper conductors and shielding handle the 5 Gbps signal across the full length.

Questions about this item

Which devices must already have a USB 3.0 Type A port for this cable to work?

Both the host computer and the peripheral need a USB 3.0 Type A port to reach 5 Gbps speeds.

Will these cables still function if I plug them into my older USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 ports?

Yes, they are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports, though transfer rates will drop to those standards.

How can I confirm the 5 Gbps link is active after connecting everything?

Check the operating system's device manager or system report to verify the connection is running at USB 3.0 / SuperSpeed.
