USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable for external drives and phones

This USB-A to USB-C cable connects portable SSDs, hard drives, smartphones and tablets to a computer for data transfer and charging. It supports Thunderbolt compatibility and works with Android Auto in most vehicles. The 3.3 ft length suits desktop and in-car use. Buyers needing video output or laptop-to-laptop data links should choose a different cable.

Sustained 10 Gbps transfer with 60 W power delivery

The cable maintains up to 10 Gbps (1250 MB/s) data rates during extended file moves, not just brief bursts. It delivers up to 60 W (3 A) Power Delivery for fast charging, reaching 70 % on a Galaxy S10 in 30 minutes with a QC 3.0 charger. Double nylon braiding and reinforced strain relief survive 20 000 bend cycles and 10 000 plug cycles.

Check port type and charger capability first

Verify your host has a USB-A port and your device uses USB-C; this cable does not fit USB-C hosts or legacy Micro-B devices. Fast charging requires both a QC 3.0 or PD charger and a device that accepts 3 A input. Without those, charging falls back to standard rates. The cable does not support video or dual-laptop connections.

Questions about this item

Does the cable get warm during all-day 10Gbps transfers or 60W charging?

The braided design and strain relief are built for heavy use; the cable handles 10Gbps data and up to 3A charging without excess heat.

What charger and device do I already need for 60W fast charging?

You need a QC 3.0 or OEM charger that delivers 3A and a USB-C device that accepts fast charging.

Will this work with my older USB 3.0 hard drive dock?

Yes — it runs at USB 3.0 speeds on legacy ports while still providing up to 3A power.
