Extension cable for USB-C devices

This two-pack of 6.6 ft grey cables adds reach between a USB-C host and USB-C peripherals such as phones, tablets and laptops. Each cable carries a male connector on one end and a female connector on the other. The braided nylon jacket and reinforced core are rated for over 20000 bend cycles.

Replaces short factory cables when extra length is

The extension supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 at 10 Gbps, doubling the 5 Gbps ceiling of USB 3.0. Power delivery reaches 100 W at 20 V and 5 A, so the jump is worth it when the original cable cannot reach a wall charger or a desk-mounted dock. Video output handles 4K at 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz as well as 1920 x 1200 and 1080p at 60 Hz.

Plug in and use with no drivers required

Installation is a simple male-to-female connection, but the link will not work with USB-A ports or USB Mini-B connectors. Charging speed still depends on the host charger and the device cable, so a 100 W adapter and a compatible cable are needed to hit the maximum rate. Video requires the host port to support DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt.

Questions about this item

Does the 6.6 ft cable need any special clearance behind a desk or monitor?

The cable is a standard 6.6 ft USB‑C male‑to‑female braided cord; it needs only enough slack for the connectors and bend radius — no extra mounting hardware or clearance is required.

What is the most common mistake when plugging this extension into a laptop and a monitor?

Users often forget that both the host and the display must support USB‑C video (DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt) for 4K @ 60 Hz; without that the video signal will not pass through.

How long will the braided jacket and fiber core last under daily bending?

The jacket and bulletproof fiber core are rated for over 20 000 bends, so typical daily flexing should not cause wear for years of normal use.
