Converts analog VGA signals to digital HDMI output at 1080P resolution with included audio and USB power cables
This active converter changes an analog VGA source into a digital HDMI signal, supporting up to 1080P resolution. It includes a separate audio cable and a USB power lead so sound and picture travel together. The plug-and-play design needs no driver installation on any supported operating system. It is intended for legacy PCs and laptops that only offer a VGA output.
The unit draws its operating power from the supplied USB cable and contains no moving parts, so it adds no audible noise to the setup. Power consumption is limited to what a standard USB port can provide. The compact black housing simply sits inline between the VGA cable and the HDMI display. No cooling considerations are required for normal office or classroom use.
Because the adapter is powered externally via USB, the conversion circuitry remains stable during long presentations or extended playback sessions. There is no thermal throttling or signal degradation that can occur with bus-powered dongles lacking a dedicated power input. The one-way VGA-to-HDMI architecture prevents handshake conflicts that sometimes appear in bi-directional devices. Not suitable for users who need to send an HDMI source to a VGA monitor.
