USB-Powered LED Strip Kit

This 6.56 ft RGB LED strip draws power from any 5 V USB port and includes a 24-key RF remote that works up to 26.2 ft away. It is designed for TV owners, desktop users and laptop owners who want bias lighting behind screens from 32 to 46 inches. The IP65 rating allows placement near moisture-prone areas such as kitchens or covered outdoor spaces.

Build Integration

The 3.28 ft USB cable reaches most rear-mounted ports without an extra power brick. Strong 3M adhesive secures the flexible strip to curved or flat backs, and cutting marks every 2 inches let you shorten the run to fit smaller monitors. No soldering or external controller is required, freeing a wall outlet for other gear.

Sustained Operation

Low-voltage USB power keeps the 60 LEDs cool during hours of continuous colour cycling, strobe or fade modes. The RF remote maintains reliable response across the full 19.6–26.2 ft range even after extended use. Adhesive bond and waterproof coating remain stable under the warm airflow behind a running display.

Questions about this item

How long can the 6.56ft RGB strip run from a TV USB port before voltage drop dims the far end?

The 60 LED strip draws 5 V USB power; on a typical TV port the 3.28ft feed cable plus 6.56ft strip stays within spec, so sustained use shows no noticeable dimming.

Does the IP65 casing or the 24-key RF remote add audible noise or measurable heat during all-day operation?

The strip is passive — no fan, no coil whine — and the IP65 silicone sleeve stays barely warm; the remote is battery-powered and silent.

Which TV USB port standard or monitor size must I already own for the 3M tape and 60 LED layout to fit and power up?

Any 5 V USB-A port works; the kit fits 32 to 46 inch screens and the adhesive bonds to clean flat backs.
