Space-Saving Clip-On Monitor Light

The SMY Lighting TB-301SGS attaches directly to a monitor without tools, freeing desk surface for office or home workspaces. Weighing 627g, the ABS body draws 5W at 5V/1A through a Type-C connection. Touch controls manage the 60-minute auto-off timer, polar dimming and a quick reading mode. Independent RGB backlighting adds 7-colour ambient options alongside the main illumination.

132lm Asymmetric Output

The main array uses 66 LEDs rated at 0.5W each to deliver 132 lumens at a CRI above 85. Users select 2923K, 4077K or 6172K to match task requirements. The asymmetric optical design directs light onto the keyboard and desk while preventing screen glare and minimising shadows. A separate 12-LED 5050 RGB strip provides decorative bias lighting independent of the primary source.

Stable Output During Extended Sessions

Powered by a standard USB-C port, the lamp maintains consistent brightness and colour accuracy over long periods without the dimming sometimes seen on battery-operated units. The 60-minute timer allows set-and-forget operation for focused work blocks. Touch indicators remain visible in low light, and the clip mechanism holds position on typical monitor bezels without slipping as the housing warms during continuous use.

Questions about this item

What does the 132 lm output actually light up on my desk?

The 132 lm main light illuminates the keyboard and desktop area directly in front of the monitor without casting glare onto the screen, using an asymmetric optical design.

How does the Type-C interface limit power and control options?

The lamp draws 5 V / 1 A from any USB-C port, so brightness and colour settings are capped at the 5 W rated power; no external adapter is needed.

What monitor thicknesses and shapes can the clip accommodate?

The clip-on mount fits most flat-panel monitors without tools; the 440 mm long bar weighs 627 g and rests on the top bezel.
