Compact direct-thermal kiosk printer

The SNBC BTP-R180II is a kiosk-class direct-thermal printer that produces monochrome output at 203 x 203 dpi. It connects through USB, serial or Ethernet and operates on 110-220 VAC at 50-60 Hz. The unit ships with an AC adapter and contains no ribbon system.

Suited for self-service receipt and label jobs

This printer serves unattended kiosks, point-of-sale lanes and lightweight label tasks that need LAN, USB or serial connectivity. It is not for buyers who require colour output, higher than 203 dpi resolution, ribbon-based thermal-transfer printing or wireless and Bluetooth interfaces.

Direct-thermal print method

The single deciding specification is the direct-thermal print technology, which creates images on heat-sensitive media without ribbons, ink or toner. If your workflow demands thermal-transfer durability or pre-printed label stock, this mechanism will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Is the 203 dpi resolution the only option for the BTP-R180II?

Yes, the BTP-R180II is offered with a fixed 203 x 203 dpi print resolution.

Will 203 dpi produce readable barcodes on small shipping labels?

203 dpi is the standard resolution for direct thermal shipping labels and barcode tags, giving clear scans on typical 4×6 inch media.

What does the LAN port add compared to USB only?

The Ethernet RJ-45 interface lets the printer sit on a network for shared access from multiple tills or kiosks without a direct PC link.
