Snom SNO-D120 Bluetooth 1.2 adapter

The Snom SNO-D120 is a USB Bluetooth 1.2 adapter that adds wireless connectivity to compatible IP phones or PCs. It suits offices and call centres needing cord-free headset pairing without replacing existing desk phones. The compact dongle plugs directly into a USB port for instant use.

What the bundled features change

The adapter supports up to seven simultaneous Bluetooth connections, letting one desk phone link multiple headsets or mobile devices. Encryption and authentication protect voice traffic from eavesdropping. A blue LED confirms active pairing status. Plug-and-play operation removes driver installation steps for IT teams.

Deciding specification: 100 m operating range

The 100 m line-of-sight range covers large open-plan floors without extra access points. Walls and metal structures will reduce the practical distance. Buyers needing coverage beyond this radius should consider alternative wireless solutions. The 2.0" x 0.8" x 0.4" form factor keeps adjacent ports free.

Questions about this item

Does the Bluetooth 1.2 adapter require firmware updates or hardware replacement over time?

The adapter is a plug-and-play USB dongle with no moving parts; no scheduled firmware updates or hardware replacement are needed under normal use.

What limits continuous operation — the 100 m range or the seven-device pairing cap?

The seven-device pairing cap is reached first; once seven Bluetooth headsets or handsets are connected, additional devices cannot join until one is removed.

How much heat or power does the adapter draw when left plugged in all day?

It draws minimal power from the host USB port and runs cool; the blue LED is the only visible sign it is active.
