Handheld Bluetooth scanner reads 1D and 2D codes with a safe LED aimer, survives five‑foot drops and IP54 splashes, and runs sixteen hours on a charge
The DuraScan D740 is a cordless imager that reads both linear and matrix codes using a 640 x 400 pixel sensor and a hyper-red 660 nm LED aimer. It connects over Bluetooth to Windows 7, 8 and 10, Android and iOS devices, offering HID and SPP modes depending on the platform. The gray housing weighs .30 lb and measures 5.20 x 1.50 x 1.60 inches.
An IP54 rating protects the internals from dust and water splashes, while antimicrobial additives help reduce bacterial transfer in clinical or warehouse settings. The scanner survives repeated 5-foot drops to concrete and ships with a lanyard and USB-A-to-DC charging cable so it can be tethered or docked between uses. A 1400 mAh lithium-ion cell powers the unit.
Auto-scan mode lets the imager capture codes without a trigger press, supporting high-throughput workflows such as inventory passes or point-of-sale queues. Bluetooth range extends to 330 feet line-of-sight, and the battery sustains over 16 hours of operation between charges. Vibration, tone and LED indicators confirm decode, connection and power status without needing a host screen.

The manufacturer rates the battery at over 16 hours of operation on a single charge.
The scanner uses a low-power 660 nm LED aimer and has no moving parts, so it stays cool and emits only the configurable beep tones you set.
It pairs with any iOS, Android, Windows 7/8/10 or Mac/Linux device that supports Bluetooth HID or SPP profiles.
