Versatile Data Capture

The Socket Mobile DuraScan D720 is a handheld barcode scanner designed for demanding environments. It reads both 1D and 2D codes from printed labels and on-screen displays. Omni-directional aiming makes capture intuitive for all-day use across retail, logistics or field service workflows. Multi-device compatibility covers iOS, Android and Windows 10 hosts.

Durable Build and Shift Power

An IP54 sealed housing protects the imager against dust and water exposure. The scanner survives repeated drops on hard floors without losing calibration. A rechargeable, field-replaceable battery lasts a full shift, while Bluetooth Classic keeps a dependable wireless link to the host. Audible tones confirm every successful read instantly.

Upgrade from Tethered or 1D-Only Units

Teams moving from corded scanners gain freedom of movement without sacrificing read speed. Operations still using 1D-only devices add 2D and on-screen capability for modern workflows. The jump is worth it when mobility, ruggedness and multi-platform support become daily requirements.

Questions about this item

How do I pair the D720 scanner with the white charging dock and my iPad over Bluetooth?

Place the scanner in the white charging dock, enable Bluetooth on the iPad, then select DuraScan D720 from the device list; the dock provides power while the scanner handles the wireless link.

When will the field-replaceable battery need swapping, and how is it done?

The rechargeable battery lasts a full shift; when runtime drops, open the battery compartment, remove the old pack, insert a new one, and resume scanning without tools.

What environmental limit stops the IP54-rated housing from protecting the imager during continuous outdoor use?

IP54 guards against dust and water splashes but not immersion; sustained heavy rain or submersion will breach the seal first.
