Portable 10-inch foldable fan

The Socool A14 is a battery-powered fan that folds to 7.16 inches and extends to 31.49 inches, serving as a floor, tabletop or wall-mounted unit. Its 40000mAh cell delivers up to 106 hours on low speed and 19 hours at maximum, while a 5V-3A USB-C port charges the fan and a matching USB-A port powers phones in an emergency.

Upgrade from single-position fans

Unlike fixed-height desk fans, this model adds 45° and 90° automatic oscillation plus 360° base rotation and 180° manual pivot so airflow follows occupants around a campsite, patio or bedroom. The brushless motor reaches 1655 RPM for 15.42 ft/s airflow at 14.76 feet, making the jump worthwhile whenever repositioning a stationary fan becomes a daily hassle.

Limits of 5 V USB charging

Recharging the 40000mAh pack relies on a 5 V 3 A input, so full replenishment takes many hours and cannot be accelerated by higher-voltage adapters. The same 5 V 3 A output caps emergency phone charging at modest rates, and the 15 watt motor draws the battery down quickly on the top two of eight speed settings, limiting sustained high-speed use away from a power source.

Questions about this item

What folded height must my bag or shelf clear to store the 10-inch blade fan?

The unit collapses to 7.16 inches tall, so any compartment taller than that will accept it.

Which charging step is often missed when using the 5V-3A Type-C input?

Use a charger that delivers 5 volts at 3 amps; lower-output ports will charge much more slowly or not at all.

What long-term upkeep does the built-in 40000mAh battery require?

Recharge it at least every few months during storage to prevent deep discharge; the cell is sealed inside and not user-serviceable.
