What this in-line fan kit does
The Soler & Palau KIT-TD150 is a two-speed mixed-flow duct fan built for 6-inch ductwork. It runs on 120 V power and draws up to 0.54 A at the higher 65 W setting or 54 W on low. The thermoplastic housing measures 7 7/8 inches in diameter and 8 3/8 inches long, with 5 7/8-inch inlet and outlet collars. It is suited for residential or light-commercial ventilation where straight-through airflow is required.
Airflow under static pressure
At zero static pressure the fan delivers 293 CFM on high and 218 CFM on low. As resistance rises the output falls: at 0.125 in. SP the rates are 273 and 193 CFM, at 0.250 in. SP they are 227 and 128 CFM, and at 0.500 in. SP they drop to 206 and 105 CFM. At 0.750 in. SP the high speed still moves 131 CFM while low falls to 24 CFM. At 1.000 in. SP only 35 CFM remains on high speed. The motor runs at 2300 RPM on high and 1700 RPM on low, with a maximum inlet temperature of 104 °F.
Installation notes and common issues
The kit fits standard 6-inch round duct and connects with the 5 7/8-inch collars. The two-speed motor is controlled by a simple switch or relay; no variable-speed controller is included. Weight is 9.7 units. Because the housing is thermoplastic, avoid mounting locations where ambient temperature could exceed the 104 °F inlet limit. The most frequent problem is reduced airflow when duct runs are long or have multiple bends, which raises static pressure beyond the fan's effective range.

Questions about this item
How much power does the fan draw when running continuously on high speed?
The motor draws 0.54 A at 120 V, which equals 65 W on high speed and 54 W on low speed.
What ductwork and electrical supply are required to install the kit?
It fits 6-inch ducting with 5 7/8-inch inlet and outlet connections and plugs into a standard 120 V circuit.
Will the fan maintain airflow through the longer duct runs in my existing system?
At 0.500 in. static pressure it still delivers 206 cfm on high and 105 cfm on low, dropping to 35 cfm at 1.000 in. SP.
