Solido 1/18 Scale Volkswagen Beetle Baja

This 1/18 scale diecast model replicates the 1976 Volkswagen Beetle Baja in Miami Green with pink graphics. It is made of diecast metal with some plastic parts and features real rubber tires. The model includes steerable wheels and opening doors for interactive display. Detailed interior and exterior elements reflect the officially licensed design.

Collectors seeking licensed 1/18 scale replicas

Adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who value officially licensed detail will appreciate the true-to-scale accuracy and original unopened packaging. The model suits display-focused buyers rather than those needing play durability. Buyers wanting larger scales or different vehicle types should consider other options.

Ready for display with minimal handling

The model arrives in manufacturer's original unopened packaging and requires no assembly. Opening doors and steerable wheels function without tools. The diecast metal construction with plastic parts can be delicate, so careful handling is advised to avoid stress on hinges or small details.

Questions about this item

Do I need a display shelf that fits the 8.5 x 3.625 x 3.5 inch footprint?

Yes, allow at least 8.5 inches long by 3.625 inches wide for the model; height clearance of 3.5 inches keeps the roof clear.

Can the steerable front wheels still turn if I place the model next to older 1/18 scale cars on the same shelf?

The front wheels pivot freely on their axles, so they will turn even when the model sits flush against neighbouring 1/18 vehicles.

How do I confirm the doors and steering work as intended after unboxing?

Open each door outward — they should hinge smoothly — then rotate the steering wheel; the front wheels must turn left and right together.
