Solio DS457-DL20009 barcode scanner

Compact Fixed-Mount Scanner

The Solio DS457-DL20009 is a hands-free barcode reader designed for fixed mounting in tight retail, manufacturing or access-control spaces. It reads both 1-D and 2-D symbols plus direct part marks at presentation speed. The compact housing suits registers, kiosks or conveyor lines where counter room is minimal. Operators simply pass items in front of the window without pausing between scans.

USB Interface Constraints

The scanner connects through a single USB link that supplies both power and data, so no external adapter is required. Cable length and host-port current limits define the maximum distance from the PC or terminal. Because the unit draws bus power, it cannot operate on ports that restrict current below the scanner’s requirement. No wireless, serial or Ethernet option is included in this model.

2.3 Inch Length Decides Fit

At 2.3 in. long (5.84 cm), the DS457-DL20009 fits into shallow cavities where longer readers would collide with brackets or cabinetry. This single dimension determines whether the scanner can sit flush under a counter lip, inside a kiosk bezel or on a narrow conveyor cross-member. Verify the available depth before ordering; no alternative chassis size is offered.
