Five Purple Ribbon Cartridges

This pack contains five Sonilco RC700P purple ink ribbons designed for Star SP700, SP712, SP717, SP742 and SP747 dot-matrix printers. Each cartridge is individually sealed in plastic to preserve freshness and offers a shelf life of two years. The nylon 66 ribbon measures 4 m in length and 12.7 mm in width.

Suits Star SP700 Series Printers

These ribbons suit operators of the listed Star receipt printers who need a reliable purple consumable for kitchen or retail receipts. They do not suit users of non-Star models or printers requiring black, red or multi-colour output. Buyers needing a different ribbon width or length should look elsewhere.

4 m Nylon 66 Ribbon Length

The decisive specification is the 4 m nylon 66 ribbon wound to a 12.7 mm width, using Japan KKS740 and USA 6790 ink formulations. This combination determines print density and ribbon lifespan on the compatible Star dot-matrix mechanisms. Confirm your printer model matches the SP700 series before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Sonilco RC700P ribbon is printing correctly after installation?

Run a test print on your Star SP700, SP712, SP717, SP742 or SP747; the dot-matrix output should show even, purple characters across the full 12.7 mm width without gaps or fading.

What comes in the box and what must be purchased separately?

The pack contains five individually sealed purple ribbon cartridges (HD Nylon 66, 4 m length, Japan #KKS740 / USA #6790 ink); the printer itself and paper rolls are sold separately.

Which cartridge version matches my Star SP747 receipt printer?

Choose the RC700P five-pack — it is listed as 100 % compatible with the SP747 and also replaces codes RC700B, RC700BR, SP700B, SR 61, 37999290, 67255R, R-386-BR and R-RC700-BR.
