Cinema kit for creators and filmmakers

This bundle centres on the Sony FX30 digital cinema camera and adds a 64GB UHS-II SDXC card, soft bag, 12 inch flexible tripod, hand strap, memory card wallet, lens cap keeper and cleaning kit. It is aimed at everyday content creators and aspiring filmmakers who want a complete, ready-to-shoot package.

Steps up from basic mirrorless or camcorder setups

The FX30 uses a newly-developed 26MP APS-C Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR processor to deliver 10-bit UHD 4K at up to 120 fps with a Super 35mm 16:9 imaging area. The jump is worth it when you need cinema-line imaging, high frame-rate 4K and professional accessories in one box.

Check E-mount lens availability and power needs

The camera uses the Sony E mount, so verify you have or can obtain compatible lenses for your intended focal lengths. Confirm your workflow can handle 10-bit 4K files and that you have suitable batteries and charging for extended shoots. The 12 inch flexible tripod suits tabletop or light-duty use only.

Questions about this item

What diameter lens filter fits the FX30's included lens cap keeper?

The lens cap keeper secures the front cap on any Sony E-mount lens you attach to the FX30, so the filter diameter matches the specific lens you choose.

How do you attach the 12 inch flexible tripod to the FX30 body?

Screw the tripod's 1/4-20 plate into the FX30's base thread, then wrap the flexible legs around a pole or spread them on a flat surface for stability.

When should the 64GB UHS-II card be replaced for reliable 4K 120 fps recording?

Replace the card if sustained write speeds drop below the 10-bit 4K 120 fps bitrate, or after heavy rewrite cycles cause verification errors.
