40th Anniversary Steelbook

This limited edition set collects the original Heavy Metal and its sequel Heavy Metal 2000 in a steelbook case. It marks the franchise's 40th anniversary with a debut on 4K Ultra HD. The package targets adult animation fans and cult film collectors who want both titles together.

4K Ultra HD debut

The defining specification is the first-ever 4K Ultra HD presentation for the original Heavy Metal film. This upgrade delivers the "extraordinarily stunning visuals" of the groundbreaking animation extravaganza in the highest home video resolution yet offered for this title.

Steelbook case fit

The steelbook packaging protects both discs on a single shelf slot, freeing space compared to separate amaray cases. It requires a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player and compatible display to realise the resolution gain. Buyers without 4K playback hardware cannot access the headline improvement.
