Ready-to-Play Home Cinema System

The Sony STR-DH590 combines a 5.2-channel A/V receiver with matched speakers in one package. It delivers up to 145W per channel at 6 Ohms for robust audio playback. This all-in-one solution suits buyers who want immediate surround sound without selecting separate components.

Wireless Streaming and Assisted Calibration

Bluetooth connectivity enables wireless audio streaming from compatible phones or tablets. DCAC sound optimization measures your room and tailors speaker levels automatically. The on-screen GUI walks you through settings so you can finish setup without a manual.

4K HDR Switching and Flexible Listening

Four HDMI inputs and one output support 4K resolution, HDR, HDCP 2.2 and 3D pass-through without degrading image quality. HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision formats are supported for compatible sources. Questions about this item

Will the Bluetooth receiver module need replacement after a few years?

The Bluetooth connectivity is built into the receiver chassis and has no user-replaceable module; no periodic replacement is expected.

What limits continuous 5.2-channel output at 145W per channel into 6 Ohms?

Sustained full-power operation is limited by the amplifier thermal design; the unit will engage protection if internal temperatures exceed safe thresholds.

How loud does the cooling fan run during all-day 4K HDR pass-through and Bluetooth streaming?

The receiver uses a variable-speed fan that remains quiet at idle and increases airflow only under heavy multi-channel load, staying unobtrusive in a typical living room.
