Sony VG-C3EM Vertical Grip for Alpha a9 a7 III a7R III

Extended Shooting for Alpha a9 a7 III a7R III

The Sony VG-C3EM Vertical Grip attaches to the Alpha a9, a7 III and a7R III mirrorless bodies. It holds two batteries so shooting time is extended without opening the battery door. A duplicate set of vertical-orientation controls improves handling when the camera is turned.

Photographers Who Need Vertical Control

The grip suits photographers who frequently shoot portraits, events or any vertical composition and want the same dial and button layout as the horizontal position. It does not add a built-in flash, wireless transmitter or extra card slots, so users who need those functions should look at other accessories.

Automatic Battery Switching

When the first battery is depleted the grip switches to the second battery without interrupting the exposure sequence. This changeover is the single specification that determines whether the accessory matches a workflow that cannot pause for a battery swap.
