A 120-piece kit of heat-shrink solder-seal connectors that create waterproof, vibration-resistant joints for automotive and marine wiring
This kit contains 120 heat-shrink butt connectors with an internal solder ring and adhesive lining. It is aimed at automotive, marine and general electrical repairs where a waterproof, vibration-resistant joint is required. The connectors are UL Listed and colour-coded for quick identification. Professional installers and DIY users alike can make sealed splices without separate crimp terminals.
The tubing begins to shrink at 80, the solder ring starts to melt at 111 and flows completely at 138. A hot-air gun set between 400 and 600 (752–1112°F) is recommended; the supplier suggests a 1500W unit. Exceeding this range risks burning the adhesive, while insufficient heat leaves the solder unmelted and the seal incomplete. The 2:1 shrink ratio is fixed by the tubing design.
Strip the wires, insert them into the connector, then apply heat until the tubing shrinks and the solder flows into the strands. The dual-wall construction seals automatically when the adhesive melts. Common faults are uneven heating that leaves cold-solder joints, or using a flame that scorches the polyolefin sleeve. A controlled hot-air gun avoids both problems.

The kit contains 120 colour-coded connectors; match the colour to your wire gauge for the correct fit.
The tubing shrinks to half its original diameter, forming a tight waterproof seal around the joint.
The solder ring melts fully at 138 °C, so a heat gun set between 400 and 600 °C ensures proper flow.
