Metal-Clad Cable for 600 V Installations

This SOUTHWIRE metal-clad cable carries three 12 AWG stranded conductors plus ground in a galvanised-steel jacket rated for 600 V. It is intended for electricians and installers running branch-circuit wiring in commercial or light-industrial settings where physical protection and code-compliant grounding are required.

12 AWG Three-Conductor with Ground

The decisive specification is the 12 AWG, three-conductor construction with an integrated grounding conductor. This conductor count and gauge determine ampacity and voltage-drop characteristics, so the cable matches only circuits designed for that exact configuration.

Pre-Cut 6 ft Whip with 3/8 in Lock Nut

The assembly arrives as a 6 ft whip with 6 in wire leads and a 3/8 in lock-nut fitting on each end. It connects directly to junction boxes or enclosures without additional conduit threading, saving labour on short runs while the metal jacket shields conductors from impact and abrasion.
