18 AWG stranded TFFN fixture wire with PVC insulation and nylon jacket, 600 V rating, on a 500 ft spool
Southwire 27022301 is a single-conductor TFFN fixture wire built for installation in conduit systems. The 18 AWG stranded copper conductor carries a 600 V AC rating and is insulated with PVC under a white nylon jacket measuring 0.09 in nominal outside diameter. Supplied on a 500 ft spool, it suits commercial and residential lighting circuits pulled through raceway.
Stranded 16-strand construction makes this wire far easier to pull through bends and long conduit runs than solid alternatives. The nylon jacket resists abrasion during installation, reducing insulation damage that would require re-pulling. The upgrade is worth it whenever conduit fill, frequent bends or long distances make solid wire difficult to handle.
TFFN insulation is not rated for direct burial, exposed outdoor use or installation without a raceway. The 600 V rating applies only when the wire remains inside listed conduit or tubing. Installers must follow applicable code for conductor fill, temperature derating and overcurrent protection; the wire itself provides no additional circuit protection.

Choose conduit with an inside diameter large enough for the 0.09 in wire OD plus NEC fill limits; 1/2 in EMT is commonly used for single 18 AWG runs.
Use wire-pulling lubricant, feed from the spool straight into the conduit, and avoid sharp bends that exceed the minimum bend radius for 18 AWG stranded conductors.
Inspect the jacket for cuts, abrasion, or discoloration after any pulling job and before energising; replace any length where the nylon is breached or the PVC insulation is exposed.
