Built-in PD and Emark smart chips

The cable contains a PD negotiation chip and an Emark chip that together request 20 V from the source and regulate current to the load. This means the user only needs a compatible PD charger or power bank; no manual voltage selection is required. The chips also provide over-current protection during the handshake. Without a 20 V-capable PD source the cable will not deliver power.

20 V 5 A maximum output

The single specification that determines compatibility is the fixed 20 V 5 A (100 W) output limit. The connected device must accept exactly 20 V via a 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm centre-positive barrel and draw no more than 5 A. The PD source must also support a 20 V PDO rated at 65 W or higher. If either the device voltage or the source capability differs, the cable cannot be used.
