It supports CD-R at 52X, DVD±R at 24X, DVD±RW at 8X and dual-layer media at 8X. A 128M buffer and Athena controller manage the transfer without a host computer.

The unit reads only USB flash memory pen drives in its Type-A slot; external USB hard drives or other USB devices are not supported. It cannot copy from disc back to USB, so a separate model is required for that direction. Power input accepts 115-230 V AC at 50/60 Hz. The tray-load mechanism needs physical space for disc ejection.
