Double-acting pneumatic cylinder with a 3/4 in bore, 1 in stroke and 1/8 in NPT ports
The SPEEDAIRE double acting air cylinder features a 3/4 inch bore and 1 inch stroke with a stainless steel round body. It uses a magnetic piston and pivot mounting at the rear with a 1/8 inch NPT air inlet. The anodized finish provides corrosion resistance for pneumatic automation tasks.
This cylinder replaces worn or leaking round body units in existing pneumatic circuits where the bore, stroke and pivot mounting pattern must match. The jump is worth it when the original cylinder is non-repairable and a direct drop-in with identical dimensions restores full actuation without plumbing changes.
Pivot mounting requires a compatible rear clevis or bracket aligned to the cylinder centreline to avoid side loading the rod. The 1/8 inch NPT ports need proper thread sealant and the magnetic piston works with external sensors only if the sensor type matches the magnetic field strength. Non-repairable design means seal failure requires full unit replacement.

The cylinder uses a rear pivot mount; order a compatible pivot bracket and clevis pin sized for the 3/4 in bore to secure it.
Connect filtered, lubricated air lines to both 1/8 in NPT ports — one extends the rod, the other retracts it — and verify flow direction before pressurising.
Replace the unit if the anodised stainless body shows scoring, the magnetic piston fails to trigger sensors, or air leaks past the rod seal.
