Double-acting round body cylinder

This SPEEDAIRE cylinder uses a double-acting design with a single chrome-plated rod and a magnetic piston. The stainless-steel body has an anodized finish and a 1 1/16 inch bore with a 2 inch stroke. It mounts via the front nose and accepts 1/8 inch NPT air inlets.

Check air supply and mounting points

Verify that your system provides clean, dry compressed air at the required pressure for a 1/8 inch NPT connection. Ensure the front nose mounting surface is flat and aligned to accept the cylinder. The unit is non-repairable, so plan for full replacement if internal wear occurs.

Consistent force in both directions

Because the cylinder is double acting, air pressure extends and retracts the rod with equal control. The magnetic piston allows external position sensing without adding mechanical switches. With no internal cushion, end-of-stroke stops should be managed externally to avoid hard impacts during sustained cycling.
