Wood boring power bit set

The Spyder 15001CA is a four-piece set of wood boring power bits designed for clean, fast drilling in soft and hard woods, laminated woods and particle board. Each bit measures 6.5 inches in length and features a quarter-inch speed hex shank for secure chuck grip.

Builders needing clean holes in wood

Suited for electricians, carpenters and DIY users who want burr-free entry and exit holes without applying heavy feed pressure. Not for anyone drilling through wood that contains nails, screws, staples or other embedded metal objects.

1/2, 5/8, 3/4 and 1-inch diameters

The set provides four distinct bit diameters — half-inch, five-eighths, three-quarters and one inch — so the right hole size is on hand for common stud, conduit and hardware installations.

Questions about this item

How much torque does the 6.5-inch Spyder 15001CA bit require compared to standard spade bits when drilling all day?

The bits require up to 50% less drilling torque than conventional threaded wood boring bits, reducing strain on the drill and user during extended use.

What drill chuck or drive system must I already own to use the 1/4-inch speed hex on these Spyder 15001CA bits?

A standard 1/4-inch hex chuck or quick-change adapter on a cordless drill or impact driver is required to engage the speed hex shank.

Will the 15001CA set's non-clogging tip work effectively in older, dense hardwoods like oak or maple without wandering?

Yes, the patent-pending auto-feed tip prevents wandering and creates clean, burr-free holes in both soft and hard woods including dense hardwoods.
