Square D 9012GRG5 Pressure Switch

The Square D 9012GRG5 is a standard-action pressure switch built for controlling electrically driven water pumps and similar equipment. It covers a 3 to 150 psi range with a 4.2 psi differential and uses a diaphragm actuation mechanism. The single-pole double-throw contact block is rated for 3 A at 240 V AC and 0.22 A at 125 V DC. A 1/4-18 FNPT port connects directly to the pressure source.

NEMA 1 Enclosure and Temperature Limits

The switch carries a NEMA 1 rating for indoor use and operates in ambient temperatures from -10 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Media temperatures can reach -40 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit without affecting the diaphragm. No moving parts generate audible noise during normal cycling. Power draw is limited to the control circuit current passing through the contacts.

Replaces Worn Pump Controls

This unit replaces a failed or out-of-calibration pressure switch on existing pump systems that require the same pressure range and port size. The upgrade is worth it when the old switch no longer holds its cut-in or cut-out settings reliably. It is not suited for applications needing adjustable differential, multiple ports, or hazardous-location enclosures.
