Questions about this item

How does the 7-inch center-hole float behave once it is installed in a working trap?

The 304 stainless steel float moves up and down the brass rod to open and close the drain valve as the liquid level changes.

What does the 5 ft brass rod connect to and what length limit does it impose?

The rod threads into the float and the lever mechanism, giving a maximum travel distance of 5 ft between the float and the actuation point.
