Liquid-level control for tanks

The Square D float switch opens its contacts when liquid rises, making it suitable for pump-down or high-level alarm circuits in open tanks. It mounts directly to the tank and operates reliably between –22 °F and 220 °F.

10 A / 575 V rating with motor-load headroom

The DPST-2NO contacts carry 10 A resistive and are rated 460 VA at 460 VAC, while motor ratings reach 2 hp at 120 V, 3 hp at 240 V single-phase and 5 hp at 240 V three-phase. Float travel of 1 1/4 in sets the switching differential.

Switch function fixed as open-on-rise

Because the switch only opens on liquid rise, it cannot be used for fill-control or low-level alarm duties without additional logic. Buyers needing close-on-rise or adjustable differential must select a different device.
