Limit Switch Head for 9007 Type C
This Square D limit switch head fits 9007 Type C bodies and provides a top-plunger actuator with 90-degree rotary lever travel. It is rated for 10 A at the listed operating force of 3.0 in-lb and operates from 0 to 185 degrees F. NEMA 1, 2, 3, 4 and 12 enclosures are supported for indoor and protected outdoor use.
Replaces worn or damaged heads on 9007 Type C units
The jump is worth it when the original head no longer returns cleanly or the contacts show pitting from repeated 10 A switching. A new head restores the specified 90-degree vertical movement and operating force without rewiring the base. It is not for applications that require a different actuator style or a higher ampacity than 10 A.
Mounts directly on a 9007 Type C switch body
The head needs the matching body and a compatible enclosure rated at least NEMA 1 to maintain its environmental seal. It frees up panel space because the rotary lever actuates from the top, leaving the front face clear for other controls. Builders who need side-actuated or maintained-contact heads should select a different 9007 head model.

Questions about this item
What mounting pattern or base does the 9007 Type C limit switch head require?
The head is designed for use with 9007 Type C bodies; it mounts directly to that base without additional brackets.
How is the rotary lever head installed, and what step is often missed?
Align the lever shaft with the body cam, secure the head screws, then verify the 90-degree travel direction matches the application — skipping the travel check causes reverse operation.
When should the rotary lever head be inspected or replaced?
Inspect the lever pivot and contacts after heavy use or if operation exceeds the 3.0 in-lb operating force or the 185 °F temperature limit; replace if travel feels loose or contacts show wear.
