Mini Limit Switch for Industrial Control
This Square D miniature limit switch uses a top-mounted push plunger to detect mechanical position in automated equipment. Its compact body measures 1.75 inches high by 1.58 inches wide and 0.62 inches deep, allowing installation in tight machine frames. The switch carries NEMA type 1, 2, 4, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 ratings for indoor and outdoor use.
Boot-Sealed Actuator Resists Contaminants
The plunger is protected by a flexible boot that seals the actuator against dust, oil and wash-down water. This sealing maintains reliable contact operation in dirty or wet environments where an exposed plunger would fail. The boot adds no extra mounting hardware and fits the standard 0.67 inch actuator travel.
Verify Voltage, Current and Mounting Plane
Confirm that your control circuit does not exceed 10 amps at 300 volts AC or 5 amps at 28 volts DC. The SPDT contact form provides one normally open and one normally closed path, so wire accordingly. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and accessible for the two-hole surface-mount pattern.

Questions about this item
How often should the boot on the top push plunger be inspected for wear?
The boot-sealed actuator protects the internal contacts from dust and moisture, so inspect it whenever the machine guarding is serviced or if the switch begins to miss cycles.
What electrical rating will be reached first during continuous cycling?
The AC rating of 10 A at 300 V or the DC rating of 5 A at 28 V will limit the load before the mechanical life of the miniature SPDT contacts is exhausted.
Does the sealed plunger generate noticeable heat when the switch runs all day?
With a maximum of 10 A at 300 V AC the contact dissipation stays low, and the 1.75 in by 1.58 in by 0.62 in body dissipates that heat without a measurable temperature rise.
