Expansion Overview

This keepsake represents the Heavensward expansion for FINAL FANTASY XIV on PlayStation 3. It unlocks the previously sealed city of Ishgard and the wider region beyond Coerthas Central Highlands. The product is intended for players who own the base game and wish to continue the Dragonsong War storyline.

Platform Limits

The expansion runs only on PlayStation 3 hardware and requires an active FINAL FANTASY XIV subscription. Playable areas extend into the Sea of Clouds and its floating landmasses, but no further zones are included. Access to new jobs, raised level caps and flying mounts depends on reaching the expansion content through the main scenario.

Setup Notes

Installation follows the standard PlayStation 3 update process for FINAL FANTASY XIV. The expansion data downloads automatically once the licence is registered to the service account. Common issues include insufficient console storage for the patch and confusion over whether the base game licence is already linked to the same Square Enix account.
