Digital beat-'em-up for Xbox One

Deadbeat Heroes is a downloadable action game published by Square Enix for Xbox One. The digital code delivers the full title directly to the console without physical media. It carries an ESRB Teen rating for violence and suits players who enjoy fast-paced, side-scrolling combat.

Single-player campaign with gauntlet combat

The decisive specification is the genre: a beat-'em-up built around a super-powered gauntlet that enables air-dashing, wall-running and rocket-punching. There is no multiplayer mode mentioned, so buyers seeking co-op or versus play should look elsewhere.

Consistent frame-rate during extended sessions

As a 2D-styled brawler running on fixed Xbox One hardware, the game maintains steady performance across long play periods. Levels stream without noticeable hitching, and the gauntlet abilities remain responsive even when multiple enemies and effects fill the screen.

Questions about this item

What does the Teen rating mean for the combat in Deadbeat Heroes?

The ESRB T rating for violence means the beat'em-up action features comic-style brawling with air-dashes, wall-runs and rocket-punch gauntlet moves rather than graphic gore.

How does the Xbox One DRM control access to the digital code?

The code is redeemed on an Xbox One console or the Microsoft Store, linking the licence to your account so the game downloads and launches only while signed in.

What hardware is required to install the download version?

Any Xbox One console with enough free storage for the game file and an internet connection to redeem the code and download the title.
