Tactical Soldier Pack add-on

The Tactical Soldier Pack is downloadable content for the Sleeping Dogs action game on PC. It adds the assault rifle with under-barrel grenade launcher from specific campaign missions to the player's arsenal. A Steam account and the base game are required for activation and play.

Suits owners who want extra firepower

This DLC suits players who already own Sleeping Dogs and want the tactical rifle immediately available. It does not suit anyone who does not own the base game, as the content cannot be accessed without it. Buyers seeking new missions or story content should look elsewhere.

Runs on modest Windows PCs

Minimum requirements ask for Windows Vista SP2, a Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Athlon X2 2.7 GHz processor, 2 GB memory, 15 GB storage and a DirectX 10 card such as Radeon 3870 or GTX 8800. Recommended specs move to Windows 7, a quad-core CPU, 4 GB memory and a DirectX 11 card like GTX 560 or Radeon 6950. Systems below the minimum tier will not run the add-on.

Questions about this item

Do I need the base Sleeping Dogs game before this SE092 pack will activate?

Yes, the Tactical Soldier Pack requires the Sleeping Dogs base game on PC before it can be installed and played.

Will the pack run on my older DirectX 10 card such as a Radeon 3870 or GeForce 8800 GT?

The minimum video requirement lists DirectX 10 compatible cards including the Radeon 3870 or higher and the GeForce 8800 GT or higher, so those models meet the baseline.

After redeeming the Steam code, how do I confirm the Assault Rifle with under-barrel grenade launcher is actually available?

Launch Sleeping Dogs through Steam, then check the weapon selection menu at any safe house or mission loadout — the Tactical Soldier Pack rifle will appear there if the DLC is active.
