Terminal Specifications

Sta-Kon B14-8F fork terminals accept 18-14 AWG copper wire and feature a #8 stud size. The non-insulated design uses a tin-plated copper barrel with serrated interior for secure crimping. Each pack contains 100 pieces certified to UL and CSA standards for 600 V maximum voltage.

Build Integration

These bare-metal terminals require a compatible crimp tool to form a reliable connection. The open fork tongue allows quick placement on #8 studs without removing the fastener completely. Brazed seam construction prevents barrel separation during installation. No insulation sleeve means heat-shrink or tape must be added separately if dielectric coverage is needed.

Capacity and Limits

Rated for continuous operation up to 221 °F, the copper barrel handles standard automotive and industrial currents within the 600 V rating. The 14 AWG maximum wire size sets a firm upper bound; larger conductors will not fit the .32 in barrel. Installers needing insulated terminals or higher temperature ratings must select a different series.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum operating temperature the fork terminal can withstand?

The terminal is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees Fahrenheit.

How much heat does the crimp connection generate under continuous current?

The copper construction with tin finish minimises resistance, keeping heat rise low at the rated 600 V capacity.

What crimp tool is required to install these terminals correctly?

A crimper matched to 18-14 AWG with a serrated barrel profile is needed for a secure termination.
