Everyday desk essentials

This two-pack of Staples mouse pads supplies a smooth polyester surface on a non-skid rubber base. Each pad measures 8.25 inches square and comes in black. The set is intended for daily office or home use with any standard mouse.

Compact square footprint

At 8.25 inches per side the pads fit easily beside a laptop or full-size keyboard without crowding the desk. The rubber underside keeps each mat in place during quick movements, while the low-profile construction leaves clearance for monitor stands or docking stations.

Replaces worn single pads

Swapping out a single frayed or curling pad for this pair gives a fresh tracking surface and a spare for a second workstation. The upgrade makes sense when the old mat no longer lies flat or when a clean, uniform look across multiple desks is preferred.

Questions about this item

Will the 8.25 inch square surface stay flat after months of daily mouse movement?

The polyester top layer is bonded to a rubber base that resists curling, so the pad keeps its shape under sustained use.

Does the rubber base emit any smell or feel warm when the pad sits on a desk all day?

The natural rubber base is inert and does not generate heat; any faint new-material scent fades within the first few days.

What type of mouse sensor works reliably on the black polyester surface?

Optical and laser sensors both track accurately on the smooth black polyester finish.
