Replacement Cord Ends 125V 15A

This set provides five male plugs and five female connectors rated for 125 volts and 15 amps. The NEMA 5-15 straight blade design matches standard North American household outlets. They are intended to repair damaged extension cords and restore power to electrical appliances. Each connector uses hard plastic housing for durability.

Wire Gauge And Circuit Check

Verify that the existing cord uses 16 or 18 AWG conductors as recommended by the manufacturer. Ensure the circuit supplying the outlet is protected by a 15 amp breaker or fuse. Confirm the insulation on the cord is intact and the jacket can be stripped cleanly for termination. Do not use these ends on cords rated for higher amperage.

Thermals And Power Draw

The connectors are rated for a maximum load of 1875 watts at 125 volts. Under normal use at or below 15 amps the plastic body remains cool to the touch. No active cooling or fan is required as the design relies on passive heat dissipation through the housing. The straight blade pins maintain firm contact to minimise resistance heating.

Questions about this item

What comes in the package and do I need to buy any wire separately?

The package contains five male plugs and five female connectors. You must supply your own 16 AWG or 18 AWG wire; 18 AWG is recommended.

Which wire gauge should I choose for these connectors?

The connectors accept 16 AWG or 18 AWG stranded wire; 18 AWG is recommended for the best fit.

What does the 1875 watt rating mean when I use these on a real appliance?

At 125 volts the 15 amp rating equals 1875 watts, so the set can safely power appliances drawing up to that load.
