Drive pin punch 3/16 in tip 8 in L

Who should use this punch

Technicians and hobbyists who need a 3/16 in drive pin punch for general removal tasks will find this tool fits the requirement. It lacks a striking cap, handguard and tether point, so users who need those safety or retention features should look elsewhere.

Tip size and overall length

The 3/16 in tip size and 8 in overall length determine whether this punch reaches the pin and matches the hole. The shank diameter is slightly less than the listed size, a detail to verify against the specific application.

Questions about this item

How much heat builds up in the 248B after repeated striking on metal all day?

The punch is heat-treated so it resists softening, and its 0.25 lb mass stays cool enough for continuous hand use.

What holder or handle must I already own to use the 3/16 in tip on the 248B?

The shank is round and knurled for a direct grip — no separate handle or holder is required.

Will the 248B fit the same pilot holes as my older 3/16 in punches?

Yes, the tip diameter is slightly less than the listed 3/16 in so it enters standard pilot holes cleanly.
