Universal 14" Widescreen Privacy Filter

The StarTech 14LPRIVACYSCREEN is a reversible privacy filter built for 14-inch laptops with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It limits the visible viewing angle to +/-30 degrees, creating a 60-degree total cone that blocks side views while keeping the centre clear. The universal design avoids interference with top-mounted webcams or lid closure. Install it using adhesive strips for bezel-less screens or slide-mount tabs for bezelled displays.

Consistent Side-Angle Blocking Under Daily Use

The filter maintains its 60-degree viewing window continuously, so sustained workloads do not widen the visible zone. The anti-glare matte side resists fingerprint build-up during long sessions, while the high-gloss side preserves colour vibrancy without degrading over time. Blue-light reduction remains active across both surfaces, helping to lessen eye strain during extended periods. No moving parts or power means the shielding behaviour stays constant regardless of workload length.

Upgrade from Improvised or Single-Sided Filters

This replaces makeshift solutions such as tape-on films or fixed-orientation screens that cannot be flipped for changing light conditions. The dual-finish design removes the need to choose between glare reduction and colour accuracy. The slide-mount option suits users who frequently remove or reverse the filter, while the adhesive strips suit permanent, bezel-less installations. It is not for users needing a filter sized for non-16:9 panels or displays larger than 14 inches.
