The filter offers a matte anti-glare surface on one side and a high-gloss surface on the other. The matte side includes a fingerprint and scratch resistant coating for added screen protection. Light transmittance is rated at 57.5% to balance brightness with privacy.

Users Needing Visual Privacy

The screen darkens viewing angles beyond 30 degrees from centre, providing a clear 60-degree cone for the user. It also blocks up to 51% of emitted blue light to reduce eye strain. Buyers with other laptop models or screen sizes cannot use this filter.

Questions about this item

How do I replace the adhesive strips if they lose their grip over time?

The filter attaches with transparent, residue-free adhesive strips included in the box; if they wear out you can remove the old strips cleanly and apply a fresh set of the same type without leaving marks on the display.

Does the 60-degree viewing angle narrow after the screen warms up during long sessions?

The privacy filter maintains its +/- 30 degree viewing angle regardless of operating temperature; the 57.5% light transmittance and 51% blue-light reduction stay constant during extended use.

How warm does the filter get and does it affect fan noise when the MacBook runs all day?

The filter is a passive layer with no electronics, so it adds no measurable heat or fan noise; it simply reduces blue light by up to 51% while preserving the 60-degree privacy angle.
