Internal 3.5-inch 22-in-1 card reader with six slots for simultaneous access to multiple memory formats via USB 2.0
Type 22-in-1
Interface USB 2.0
The StarTech 35FCREADBK3 is a 3.5" internal card reader that adds front-panel access to 22 flash memory formats. It targets desktop builders and photographers who need to offload images from multiple card types without reaching behind the chassis. Six slots allow simultaneous access to different media, streamlining multi-card workflows. The unit connects via an internal USB 2.0 header using the supplied 9-pin IDC cable.
The reader fits a standard 3.5" drive bay and ships with mounting screws for a secure installation. Its black finish blends with typical front-panel aesthetics while the compact 5.1" x 4.1" x 1" footprint leaves room for adjacent drives. The internal USB 2.0 connection requires an available motherboard header; systems lacking a spare header cannot use the device without an additional controller. No external power connector is needed.
This 22-in-1 model replaces single-format or low-count readers that force users to swap adapters or connect external dongles. The jump is worthwhile when a workstation regularly handles CompactFlash, SD, Memory Stick, MMC and xD cards together. It does not serve builders who need USB 3.0 or 3.1 transfer speeds, nor those whose motherboards have no free internal USB 2.0 header.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the reader connects through USB 2.0, so data moves at that bus speed regardless of the card's maximum capability.
It measures 5.1" x 4.1" x 1" and includes a bag of mounting screws for a standard 3.5" front panel bay.
Plug the supplied 9-pin IDC USB cable into a motherboard USB header, then secure the unit in the bay with the included screws.
