It provides 1 GbE connectivity over standard RJ-45 cabling for network administrators deploying or expanding enterprise infrastructure. The hot-swappable design allows module changes without powering down the switch.

1000 Mbps transfer rate over 100 m reach

The transceiver operates at 1000 Mbps full-duplex over Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 100 m (328 ft). This distance suits typical rack-to-rack or floor distribution links in office and data-centre environments. Runs out beyond the 100 m copper limit, so longer campus or building-to-building runs require fibre transceivers instead.

SFP form factor with no digital diagnostics

The module fits standard SFP slots and draws low power, but does not support Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM).
