Universal tablet stand 4.7-12.9 inch

The StarTech ARMTBLTDT holds one tablet or phone with a screen between 4.7 and 12.9 inches. It mounts on a desk using the included square base or attaches to a wall or under a cabinet with the supplied wall plate. The arm pivots +170 degrees at the base and -40 to +180 degrees at the elbow, while the holder rotates 360 degrees for portrait or landscape viewing.

Movement limits and load capacity

The arm provides +170 degree base pivot and -40 to +180 degree elbow articulation combined with full 360 degree holder rotation. Maximum supported device weight is 2.20 lb, so heavier tablets or cases may exceed the limit. The stand itself weighs 3.00 lb and measures 11.22 x 6.50 x 2.87 inches, while the base footprint is 6.3 x 6.3 inches.

Installation notes and common issues

The package includes a 2.5 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm hex key plus two screws and two concrete anchors for wall mounting. Assembly requires tightening the knob and arm joints with the supplied keys. A frequent issue is insufficient tightening of the elbow or base pivots, which lets a heavier tablet drift from the desired angle.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the desk base or the wall plate for my 12.9-inch tablet?

Both are included. The desk base gives a stable 6.3-inch square footprint, while the wall plate with concrete anchors lets you mount under a cabinet or on a wall.

How much tilt and swivel will I actually get at the elbow joint with a heavy 12.9-inch device?

The elbow provides -40 to +180 degrees of pivot, so you can angle the screen downward 40 degrees or lay it almost flat upward, even at the 12.9-inch maximum size.

Does the 360-degree rotation lock in portrait and landscape, or is it free-spinning?

The arm rotates a full 360 degrees and the knob secures it at any angle, giving fixed portrait or landscape positions without free-spinning.
