Converts component video and analog or digital audio to HDMI at 1080p 60Hz with HDCP 1.1 support
The StarTech CPNTA2HDMI converts analogue component video and separate audio into a single HDMI signal. It accepts YPbPr input plus either 3.5 mm stereo or digital coax audio. Maximum output is 1080p at 60 Hz over HDMI 1.2. No software or drivers are required for operation.
This adapter lets you keep using a set-top box, Blu-ray player or other component source with a modern HDMI monitor, TV or projector. The jump is worth it when the source still works but the display lacks analogue inputs. It also embeds your chosen audio feed into the HDMI stream for a single-cable connection.
The converter tops out at 1080p 60 Hz and HDMI 1.2, so higher resolutions, refresh rates or newer HDMI features are not supported. HDCP 1.1 compliance may block some protected content on newer sinks. DVI 1.0 compatibility is present via passive cable, but only at matching resolutions. Analogue video quality depends on the source and cable length.
