Hybrid USB-C USB-A dock

The StarTech DK30A2DHU is a universal docking station that connects to laptops through either USB-C or USB-A host cables. It provides dual 4K 60 Hz video outputs using HDMI or DisplayPort combinations alongside six USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet and a headset audio jack. The included stand allows horizontal or vertical placement on the desk. Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS are all supported.

Users needing dual 4K displays over USB-A

This dock suits professionals who need two 4K 60 Hz monitors from a single USB-A or USB-C port and want legacy USB-A peripherals connected. It is not for buyers who need upstream bandwidth above 5 Gbps, host power delivery to charge the laptop, or more than two external displays.

5 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 1 host link

The single upstream connection runs at 5 Gbps, so all video, data and Ethernet traffic shares that bandwidth. If the workflow demands higher sustained throughput or laptop charging through the dock, a different solution is required.
