Dual 4K USB-C/USB 3.0 Dock

The STARTECH DK30C2DPEP is a universal laptop docking station that turns a USB-C or USB 3.0 laptop into a dual 4K 60Hz workstation. It provides two DisplayPort and two HDMI outputs, supporting dual DisplayPort, dual HDMI or one of each. The dock includes a combo USB-C cable with a built-in USB-A adapter for host connection.

Who this suits and who it does not

It suits users running Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, macOS 10.11 to 10.12 and 10.14, or Chrome OS v55+ who need two external 4K displays, Gigabit Ethernet, audio and four USB 3.0 ports with fast charging. Buyers whose laptops lack USB-C or USB 3.0 video output cannot use the dual-display function.

100W Power Delivery decides fit

The dock delivers up to 100W USB Power Delivery to charge the connected laptop while driving both displays and peripherals. If the host laptop requires more than 100W for full performance, the dock will not supply enough power.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-C or USB 3.0 host link limit the dual 4K 60 Hz output?

The dock uses a USB 3.0 or USB-C 3.0 host connection and drives two 4K displays at 60 Hz through its DisplayPort and HDMI ports.

What desk space and clearance does the 1.20 x 3.10 x 8.70 inch enclosure need?

It occupies a footprint of 3.10 by 8.70 inches and stands 1.20 inches tall, so allow that area plus cable bend radius at the rear ports.

Which driver or DisplayLink version is required before connecting the first monitor?

Install the latest DisplayLink driver for Windows, macOS or Chrome OS before plugging in the dock; the installer must finish before the first video output appears.
