Universal Dual 4K Docking Station

The StarTech.com DK30C2DPPD turns a USB-C or USB 3.0 laptop into a dual 4K 60 Hz workstation. It provides two DisplayPort and two HDMI outputs, four USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5 mm audio jack. A 135 W power adapter delivers 60 W Power Delivery to the host laptop.

Suited for mixed fleets and single-cable setups

IT teams managing Windows 7 through 10, macOS 10.11 to 10.14 and Chrome OS 55+ can deploy one dock across brands. Users who need more than two external monitors or higher USB bandwidth than 3.0 provides should look elsewhere. The dock includes mounting holes for fixed installations.

60 W Power Delivery over USB-C

The single combined cable with attached USB-A adapter supplies up to 60 W of charging power while driving video and data. Laptops that require more than 60 W for operation under load will not charge fully from this dock.

Questions about this item

Does the 135W power adapter keep the dock cool and quiet when it delivers 60W PD all day?

The dock has no fan and relies on passive cooling, so it runs silently; the 135W adapter supplies ample headroom for continuous 60W laptop charging without overheating.

Which video cables must I already own to use the dual 4K 60Hz outputs?

You need two DisplayPort cables for 4096 x 2160p @ 60Hz on the 20-pin ports, or two HDMI cables for the same resolution on the 19-pin ports, or one of each for mixed DP/HDMI setups.

Will my older USB 3.0 laptop with a Type-A port drive both 4K displays through the combo cable?

Yes, the included USB-C cable with attached USB-A adapter lets a USB 3.0 laptop run dual 4K 60Hz monitors via the dock's DisplayPort or HDMI outputs.
